ديالي(dyali) :

is the morrocan arabic translation of 'mine', used affectionately/possessively. all of the objects used are owned by one individual who's identity is evident in even the smallest corners of their life. these things are hers, but she also belongs to them.

: unexpectedly but not unwanted, this project created itself through the perfect intersection of chance and desire. a physical and visual manifestation of the strangeness of a singular intersection of two people that can continue to color ones’ reality long after. a disconnect exists in distance, and all we can do is hope that the other person is seeing the same colors as you.

: we must distinguish between love and lust, & struggle to figure out how that distinction turns us internally in different directions. we interact in society with those two sentiments. the media allows us to have our hearts out in the open in a very visible way, in which sometimes it seems indecent to have common decency. to refrain from passion of any kind and remain stoic is something few do, but would it even help anyone? seeking to encapsulate the discomfort in not knowing how our hearts are actually seen.
